The Zen Rug series was realised during the first Covid-19 lockdown in Denmark when our normal, fast paced lives were flipped on their heads, resulting in many of us spending our waking hours in the confines of our homes. With an overwhelming need to feel grounded and calm in a time of such uncertainty, the importance of the spaces we occupy and the objects we choose to surround ourselves with came into focus.

Just like the Japanese Zen gardens that are intended to represent the various calming elements in nature and aid in contemplation and mediation, the Zen Rug series has been created to bring a grounding foundation to our homes, improve the everyday through simple forms and quality, sustainable materials.  

The Zen Rugs are hand woven from 100% un-dyed wool giving a luxurious feel that will age gracefully. The cut-cut weave gives the rugs a high quality and durable finish that is both contemporary and elegant.
